foreign man (thick indian accent) called my cell phone, claiming he was with the american express, accounts security group.  he claimed that there was a fraudulent charge on my wife's amex card.  he claimed that there was a charge for $219 from a company called Archaelogical (something like that).  i told him that i needed to look into it and that i would call him back.  he gave me a number to call (1-800-824-9289).  there was nothing posted on my card though because i was checking online.  seemed suspicious.

A man with a thick accent called me and left a voice mail. I could half understand the message, but it was along the lines of him being an officer of some sort filing an investigation. He also said that if I failed to contact him that something will fall on me. He did tell me his name, but he was extremely hard to understand

well,scams of all kind...use this number as well as other numbers..no message.. hang ups.
this is daily routine..outsourcing...NOT sure if American express???
