Recorded message..."Are you ready for the holidays?..." I hung up. On caller ID it read "Quick, Ruth"  BEWARE!

Recording selling carpet and upholstery cleaning "for the holidays" and for laughs, "press 9 now to be placed on the do not call list" which if they're calling early in the morning trying to sell me something even if my number is on the donotcall.gov list, means nothing to them. Caller ID was "Quick, Ruth".

Beware is right - they called me last night and I woke up this morning to fraudulent charges on my account and I answered but didn't say anything!  Nothing on the other end either.  Think this might be to verify address and phone number for fraudulent use of debit/credit card transactions.  I suggest you don't answer this call.

As others have mentioned, robot caller for a carpet company which.. included... :press 9 to be put on the do not call list". Right.
