Senior care scammers out in full force this week before Christmas. About ten calls since Monday all from different numbers. All for back braces or medic alert systems.

The usual telemarketer pause after I answered the phone so I knew it was bogus but still was curious. The guy, with a slight Indian accent, said, "Ah yes, you're on medicare right?" Which I am but told him that I wasn't on it yet. They he said, "is anyone in your household on medicare?" And I said again, "no not yet, Merry Christmas" and hung up. I thank those who posted here saying it was a back brace scam which I have heard about. That's probably why he wanted to make sure I was on medicare so he could say how they would pay for my brace.

The creepazoids called and hung-up at dinnertime on Dec.21 and left no message.  I was supposed to be here entertaining family and friends for the holidays right?  I was supposed to pick-up the phone with a cheerful "Hello" in case a guest was calling, correct?  I was supposed to be in the spirit of giving and therefore allow them get their predatory "foot in the door".   (Can I get an "amen")?  I did not play Santa to them this time either.  Let their little moth-eaten and worm corrupted stockings be filled!  (With coal, switches and ashes).
 By the way: all of the calls that I seem to get from NY are scams or fraudulent for some reason.
