Answered in basement without caller ID.  A guy said he was calling for homeless vets.  The voice sounded robotic, almost like a recording.  Asked if I'd donate, glad I didn't say "yes" (thanks for the tip of scammers recording your voice to use as agreement for a monthly charge on your phone bill).  He was very pushy about the donation amount....he tried to barter up my measly amount of $10....so I told him I'd donate some other way and hung up.  Hey, we all want to help out our vets but look out for these guys!

There is something FISHY about this organization yesterday I got a call from 412-385-2398 with the same Caller ID of Donor Relations...I don't deal with people who spoof their Caller ID and numbers! That's what this looks like! Beware!

Being the smartass that I am, I would probably have said "Sorry, there aren't any homeless vets here. Try near the shopping center - I saw one there the other day!"

Our Caller I.D. showed CCI and the above number.  I left it ring to see what they'd do.  Just as my outgoing message kicked in, the call was stopped.  Lately I've been just pushing the "talk" button and not saying anything on some calls.  Most eventually just hang up.  Maybe they think a little kid picked it up.  ha ha
