A guy called, asked for me by name, and said he was calling from "the Discover Magazine billing department" and "there was a problem". We don't take the magazine, which I told his twice, to which he replied "thank you" and hung up. Sounds like a scam.

I received a call from this number, Discover Magazine, today and was told that there is a billing issue with my subscription. I never subscribed to this magazine. He insisted I did, citing my previous address. I told him I am not responsible for something I have not done.

Is this a scam?

Received call from this number. Guy told me that I am responsible for paying AUTOMOBILE magazine  subscription and I am  behind with my payments, so he asked how I am going to handle this problem. He reminded me that this call is being recorded.
I need to pay now and he wants check over the phone or credit card.
I told him that he is a scam. And they are just that.

Is a scam. Called wife and pulled same tactic of magazine subscription. And told wife to go get credit card. Tries to sound official by saying call is being recorded. Don't fall for it!

Have received numerous calls to my cell phone from this number.  Called it back and says number not in service.  Imagine that!!
