I got the same message Sunday night which was unusual that the IRS would call me on a Sunday night. I followed up with the IRS Monday and they have no knowledge of that phone number so yes it is a scam!!

Received a caller few mins back from Evans from IRS from 716-980-5039 saying I need to call back or have my attorney call back and if I don't then it could cost me and wished good luck. As mentioned by everyone, this is a scam.

I got the same call with a threat that if I or my attorney does not contact me I will suffer the consequences.
