I answered a call from (716)261-4689, and the male caller told me he was from a police fund raising organization that assists over 200 local departments with everything including training. When he said they would mail to me a sticker and some other stuff and wanted to know if I would support them, I asked if they supported my local police department. The response was that it was nice that people are so supportive of efforts, so could they count on me to provide a donation of $15. At tat point I thought I was talking to a pre-recorded message, and asked as much, which resulted in a reply asking me if he sounded that bad. I explained that since I asked him a question and he didn't answer it, but continued right into a plea for money. He again asked if they could count on my support, and I again asked if they support my local police department and no another word was spoken.... I don't know if he hung up or was looking for the next scripted line to read.
