@ME, must be a slow day at the collection office so you all are shilling on here. If jason is so 'helpful" then you would name the collection company. i would guess it is NCO, Van RU, allied, diversified , CBE group or any of a hundred others scam collectors that one can google. Since you fail to name the "LEGIT" agency  my guess is it is a scam. But Shill on dude ,no one is falling for your scam anyway. Dave Ramsey calls out collectors every day on his show.

Called said there was a civil suit against me from their client-stated they are Premier Recovery Group-out of New York. Civil matter's are between individuals not companies plus I live at the other end of the United States so no one from New York would be having civil matter with me. Was hung up on they had my last 4 digits SS# my name but I denied those were my last 4. The said they couldnt tell me anything unless I verified the last 4 of SS I said well then we have nothing further to discuss. They kept calling 3-4 times before giving up. Read online that this is a scam stating they want you to list all your debtors and banks with them  -NO WAY!

This is a debt collection company. What I find very very creepy is that it is not my debt. They are calling because of some debt of my mother's and because she changed her number and they can't get ahold of her for some reason they are calling me. I don't know how they got my cell number but they are blowing up my cell phone and calling me by my mother's name so I can only assume that they think that this is her phone. I don't know how they got this number since it's an unlisted basically burner cell but I find it very creepy.
