I have now received a couple of calls from this number.  The Caller ID say "California".  It rings just long enough to be picked up by voicemail, but the only "message" is the dial tone.

I got the same thing happen today. I don't understand why they are allowed to break the do not call law. They are animals after your money.

Caller ID:  California.   Mistakenly answered phone.  Obvious robocall.  Caller said she represented highly reputable firm that wants to make an appointment to discuss future remodeling needs.  Explained that son-in-law is general contractor; handles all of our needs.  Caller apologized and said she'd update records.....same BS response as all of the others.  Our number is on DNC Registry.  Caller's number reported to FCC
