This was an unsolicited phone call offering a program that claims to be able to install windows, furnace, roofs etc for getting discounts to upgrade older homes, at a 20 to 40% discount.  Very slick over the phone at getting your address and setting up appointments to bid on energy saving products.  However, you cannot get the $$ and products except through their list of contractors. I believe they called me last week also, under a different name and number. Same cunning lines about how "young" I sounded.

Also got a call from that number - 714-869-7724.  Telemarketer. See my post.

Follow up phone call from person named Michele, who identified she was from Power Star using phone number 714-200-1031. I suspect they are using several different company names.

Very abusive company. They send out guys to solicit their scam. They came to my house twice in 1 hour. Then the guy calls his manager on his cellphone & forces my brother to talk to him. They've called well over a dozen times & use robodialers w/ numbers that come up either as "unavailable" or (0). This last time, they called & the (o) number showed up. When my robodialer caught it, the phone immediately rang & it was this # (714) 869-7724. My brother answered the phone & the lady chewed him out & before he had a chance to reply, she hung up on him...

It seems they use spoofed phone #'s, robodialers & "unavailable" #'s to call from. How shady is that?

Please post the name of the company so others can see your post and be careful.   What are they selling that they people come to you house?   Other posts in this thread may be referring to spoofed numbers.  Thanks!
