these people have been calling for a year now, they are looking for the people who used to have this number. They aren't very bright.

My caller ID gave the number but listed the name as unavailable. The man who called asked for my husband. When I said he was not available, the man asked if I was Mrs ****. I said yes and he told me they were calling to see if they could help us lower our energy bill. I replied it was already pretty low as we have had solar panels on the roof for years. The nest thing I heard was that tone that sounds if the other party on the line has hung up. Obvy I was not a customer and he had no time to waste on me.
I don't do business with any one who calls me, ever. I have even canceled charge cards when they call me with special offers. I usually give them one chance if I have the card but on the second call I cancel. I have been on the do not call list since the it started and intend to follow up with the FCC. I always report telemarketers to the FCC. I figure if they are calling despite the Do not call list, they are probably crooks anyway.

Addendum in reference to the post I made just a few minutes ago.
Since the person hung up, I suppose this could have been some other type of call. I just assumed they were trying to sell me something.

Schmucks that call on a weekly basis trying to scam whoever picks up the phone. Trying to lower my energy bill. LOL Idiots

These folks are total morons. Calling with auto dialers all hours of the day and night. Whoever gets the pleasure of talking with me gets cussed out and hung up on. No way to stop them from calling. I have been on the do not call list now for years and when they call I'll file a complaint. Just another part of life, the attempt to scam the person that answers the phone.

My only question is, do they really think anybody will want to do business with them even if they are legit? LOL
