Incidentally, Dubois can be pronounced either way.. it's the preference of the family or descendants with the name.. "dew-boyce" is "Americanized" pretty much - and "dew-bwah" is the original French, of course. I even knew a Dubose who pronounced  his name "dew-bose" just like it looks, like the speaker company.

If you would read the post more carefully, the person who posted did not say the caller gave the name of a business. Usually when someone has been told a business name, they will post that business name.

That little detail has to be given; the person who is being called has an absolute right to know who is calling, before answering any questions.

If your wife received a "summons", then you should know the name and address of the company that is suing her as well as the attorney's name.  i doubt they put "Harold Something" on the summons.  If you want us to believe you then give us the full name and address of the company suing you.  As to it being legal, if it was properly served according to the rules of your state, yes.  As to not knowing who to contact, if you are unable to handle this yourself, you will need to get an attorney.  The summons should have given you a place to get an attorney, or to find a pro bono one.
