I too was contacted by a Jonathan Mayer of Montreal, he agreed to buy my item off Kijiji for $400.00.
A week later I received a letter (no return address and British Postage) with a "Cashiers Cheque" for $2, 575.00.
When I brought it to the bank that issued it I was told it was a fake.....I went to the police and they got in touch with Scotland Yard & Interpol and supposedly "have a file on this Gentleman and are about to make a move on his operation"....
I blocked this # from contacting me again.
