I just received a call from this number, insisting to speak to the owner of the company. I said he was not here and asked if i could help them somehow. the guy was very quick to hang up on me.

Scammer. The guy just called us as well asking for a donation do not believe

The same phone number just called our store and said he was with the IL Police Coalition and would like to speak to our manager.  The supervisor asked what it was regarding and he mumbled something about a pledged donation and didn't want to give any other info.  We knew it was a scam and sure enough, I just looked up the number and here are posts about the same scam.

This number has called our office claiming to be from "the police" and asking to speak to our business owner. When we ask for his information so they can call back he gets rude and asks when a good time for him to call back is. We believe this same person has called us from multiple 708 numbers. He has given the name Tim Cook, Ken Richards, and others. We suspect he is trying to pretend he is from a police station to get "donations". We have also called the police and they told us no actual police officer would EVER call and refuse to identify themselves properly.

Caller is rude.  Insists on talking to the "owner" and repeating he is with the Illinois State Police.  Does not want anyone but the owner.  He was told to remove our number from his list...he replied he does not have a list.  He never stated what he wants although he was asked several times.  You just need to hang up on this guy!!
