Tried to get me to open my firewall.  Said that they had my Windows program ID number & that it was sending out spam messages and was infected by a virus.  i checked all my security while he was on the phone & then he realized I knew what I was doing. I asked for a read back of the serial number.  He asked if I was a computer technician & hug up immediately when I said yes.  Bad accent.  Also wanted me to Ctrl R

Just called here. Standard "hang-up with no message call" so I don't know who/what it is. However, someone else who got a call from this number was foolish enough to try calling back and reported it's "no longer in service" (http://mrnumber.com/1-708-481-8541). So we know it's a spoofed Caller ID and hence we can assume it's someone up to no good.

not them again. last time around I told the guy the virus my computer was supposedly sending was nothing compared to the Aids virus his wife and daughter were spreading to his colleagues out in the parking lot.

Called here. With my blocker they must press 0 to get through. They hung up. Called them back... "number has been disconnected or is no longer in service." Another scam...
