Nasty bill collector that doesn't know the law but wants to intimidate you with threats

IL, USA. Answered and they asked for my sister by her first name and I said they have the wrong number. She then said her full name and I asked what it was regarding. She said it was a legal matter and I said it doesn't involve me. I rarely speak with my sister and she didn't use my name or number for anything, so this bill collector doesn't know the law to try and hunt down her relatives, considering it's not even the same last name. I told her to F off and hung up and then blocked the number. They do this bs to try and intimidate people and get relatives to worry and give the persons number-which I don't even have anyway. It's rare a debt collector will go this far, so I'll contact my sister and document this and she can use it against them; in the end she won't need to pay due to the collector breaking the law, so it's a good thing when the collector loses or even has to pay-hopefully it'll put their seedy collector scam out of business.

If they call you again, inform them they are violating the TCPA by calling your cell phone without your consent (the reason does not matter), and you will take them to court and sue them for up to $1,500 per violation.

Wow. Just got a call and they started by saying my name, but giving a soc. sec number that bears absolutely no relationship with mine. She then told me that I must be using 2 soc security numbers and I said, what? I said what is the company name and where do you get off saying that? She said, you are a deadbeat and it's a shame for a 65 year old woman. I said, I don't know what pisses me off more--that you have access to a list of incorrect soc sec numbers or telling me I am many years older than I am! I did have a lot of fun telling her to F off and to listen to her rant and rave. But, after she hung up on me, I sighed and blocked the number.
