Just got a message from 708-248-7366. It was Christopher from Van Dell (?) Communications saying it was his last attempt to contact me to let me know I'd won a prize. Said he'd called me before, but we have caller ID and I know he hasn't. He also was sure to "clarify" that he wasn't a telemarketer (see above post). I hate to confess that I did try to call the number, but I just got a busy signal. Then I Googled and now I can see that this is probably just a scam.

I have entered a few contests over the past year or so, but somehow I don't think this means I won the trip to Canada! :)

Just got a message from 708-248-7366 came up as Mitchell Group on the caller ID.  Man on the message said his name was Christopher and I had won a car from an entry form I had submitted 12-18 months earlier.  Said he had been calling numerous times.  Also said I had choice of 4 top prizes.  He was sure to "clarify" that he was not a telemarketer or cold caller and that he wouldn't have called me if I hadn't entered.  Was suspicious because I rarely enter contests.

Apparently they have many numbers from which to call. 708 566 4775 appeared on my caller ID with the same messages as stated above. Hard to believe some people still fall for this. In so many words the caller says "I don't care about the Do Not Call List." They want your name and phone number. Well, Duh! Who did you think you were calling? My number just ddn't pop into your head! Keep reporting them and beware.
