I placed on Craigslist to sell a TV. Person with this number responded by text saying they were interested. They wanted to send me a check to cover the cost of the tv + shipping. I was to deposit the check and, when it cleared, keep my portion and send the shipping portion to the 'mover' using a bogus transfer service. Overpayment schemes have ruined CraigsList for all time. You have it almost right. The faux buyer is hoping to collect a sham fee off your back while you get stuck by your bank for submitting a rubber check. The age of the FTC alert I've linked should tell you how long this ruse has been tried.
