Living in Fortune I assumed this was a local call. NOT! Turns out the call originated from the San Francisco east bay area. These [***] were looking for a donation for some fire department or fire district, they were immediately hung up on and now blocked from any further scam from this number. I sure they have multi numbers

Live in So. Humboldt County.  I also thought it was a Fortuna call.  Half way through their spiel (where they interupted me constantly) I noticed they were falling way behind in the answers to my comments.  When they said "How much did you want to send?", I said a few rude words and hung up.  By the way, they were asking for $$$ for children suffering from burns.

Wow! I'm glad we didn't answer the phone.  No message of course.  We are in Eureka so we thought it was local too.  Sorry you had to listen to their crap.

I know all the local numbers that call me so I never pick-up from an unknown  number. If it is someone I know they will leave a message. This month's issue of Consumer Reports has an article on robo calls.

I thought it was from fortuna..,as I live in Eureka. Scam wanting $$$ for police fund they stated. I told them I only donate local, and hung up. Scammers!!
