Called and left no message. Caller ID says North Carolina.

Caller asked, "hello, [my first and last name]?"
I replied, "yes?"
And the caller hung up.
Calling the number back, I received an automatic message from Verizon that the number had changed.

The caller asked to check my furnace ducking and he knew my address and tried to get me to confirm my address. I hung up on him.
