Received a recorded message (3 within 10min) from what appeared to be a local number but the return number was 704-886-0994. I have fallen prey to these types of scammers in the past and do not intend on calling back but was wondering if anyone else had been contacted by this company. If so, is it legititmate?

Here is the message left "Steve here in the office to complete a service of process for you to appear in court before Judge. So at this point of time it is your legal right to contact the plaintiff prior to your order being submitted over to the
county they can be reached at 7048860994. Failure to comply can result in a dispatch of the proper authorities either at your place of employment or your place of residence but the record show that you have officially been notified. Good luck."

I received this exact same message today (11/19/14). I think they get more relentless when it gets closer to the end of the year in hopes that people will give them a debit card number that they can continue to use especially if you receive a nice income tax return. Do not give a banking card info. if you feel you need to pay them or you are frightened by their threats it's best to purchase a reloadable visa or mastercard that you can discard at anytime

They called my sister in SC and left the same exact message for me and I live in NJ. I asked my local police department and found out it was a scam.

I received a call as well. Not for me but a family relative. Voice recording threatening with court orders, etc. the thing is this was already taken care of through bankruptcy so I know this is fraud. Beware. They go by RDA Law Firm. I called and told them they have already been referred to the FBI and they hung up on me. Hmmmmmm mm

I received a message on my machine that was verbatim what others received. I called the 704 886 0994 and they said they could not find a file with my name. When asked what firm this was she said RDA Law. When I started asking other questions she said have a nice day sir and hung up.

i am a bill collector and i don't approve of the tactics ..it is hard and disgusting but i must say this a.....ll you people place yourself in this situation. If you don't get pay day loans or other debt you cant afford then you would not have to worry about being called in the first place,,This is crazy to say scam scam scam and i do agree there are scammers out here don't be taken advantage of KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. but when you take out a loan and don't pay it back you are a THIEF plain and simple nothing more nothing less,,now i know i will get people on here being mad at me for posting this but so what freedom of speech applies to idiots as well. so here the thing PAY YOUR BILLS...it is that simple..I have been a bill collector for over 20 years I dont yell i dont scream and i dont lie to people i give them fact. IF YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL GO TO JAIL OVER A BILL THEN YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL..... if you could be locked up over a bill why would you be getting a phone call ..people use some common sense,,but i guess some things are just not common to all people because HEY you took out a loan with over 300 percent interest in the first place....SMMFH....
