Answered a call they hung up. I called it back and got the voicemail of a Lenny Robinson.

Same deal for me. Answered call at 8:20 Sat. morning.  They hung up.  I returned call to hear recorded msg. from "Lenny Robinson".  This is just another form of harrassment.

Collections for Chase; spilled my guts telling them my current financial situation to only be asked if I could hold and be transferred to work out a payment plan. I can't commit to a payment right now and was on hold for five minutes and hung up. They can wait in line with everyone else; the IRS, health insurance, and a roof over my head are top priorities. They don't like to hear that you can't make a payment; what the hell are you suppose to do?

They are bullies, and want to get you upset.  They are not honest people, and you must not deal with them as if they are trustworthy, they are not.

Now, here is how you get your life back.  Believe it or not, you are in control to a much greater degree that it seems.  

Prioritize.  Pay your rent, health insurance, utilities.  If there isn't enough to buy food, look into food banks (although they tend to be a little overwhelmed these days).  Beans and rice, with a little meat from a soup bone will fill your tummy pretty inexpensively.  Lentils (plain ones, not fancy overproced ones) are a great choice.

Go to the many excellent web sites about the FDCPA and educate yourself about how to protect yourself legally.

Find Dave Ramsey on the radio, go to his web site, read his books.  If you follow his plan, and stick to it, you will get your life back, I promise.

Now, take a deep breath, think about the fact that you are now taking control back, exhale, relax a moment, and go look at Dave Ramsey's web site.
