I received a call from this number ( North Carolina - 704-469-2492 ). They left a message on my answering machine on July 25, 2012. A woman said her name was Elena Harper and she was with "Federal Investigations - Fraud Department". She said a civil case was referred to her involving someone using my name, personal information, and social security number. She gave me a "case number" to refer to. Oh. brother, what a phoney baloney - when are these idiots going to call it a day and get legitimate employment?
No way am I calling them- I know darn well the first thing they are going to want is my Social Security Number, followed by Bank Account Numbers, and Credit Card Numbers, All these scam artists are the same- they act so-o-o-o "Official"....WARNING to everyone: if they were legitimate and knew so much about you, you would receive a registered, certified letter, not a stupid phone call - they also would be very very specific - and not give you a load of general, oh-so-scary "information".
