This is the link to be put on the registry, there is a number on the link if you wish to use it there. --->http://www.donotcall.gov/
Also, my mother works in telemarketing as a scripter. So she knows the rules and regulations pretty well. It is illegal/prohibited for any telemarketing service to call a CELL PHONE number using an automated Dialer. Now since a HUGE portion of Telemarketers use Automated Dialer's (Mom knows all about those since she has to program around them), most won't call you. They can get around that though. The Registry listed above is to be put on a list for home and mobile numbers so that they aren't supposed to be able to call you if they are.
Here is some more information from the website that has to do mostly with Telemarketer's questions, but its still informative https://www.donotcall.gov/faq/faqbusiness.aspx#who
And this is from the FTC about Cell Phones and Telemarketers http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2005/04/dnc.shtm Its the Federal Trade Commission
As for the number (704)-461-0409, If you call it back you get an automated Message telling you to call back, or press 1 to be put on the "Do not call" list. I pressed 1, so hopefully it will stop calling me. It calls an average of 6 times a day with no answer when I pick up. If I don't answer and let it ring, it will ring maybe 4 times and hang up. Never a voicemail to go with it. I don't know. Here's to hoping.
