Called my cell phone. Marking as spam call and blocking.

Relax, folks. This is just a trade magazine (consumer electronics) that is calling to renew subscriptions. Now.... why would they be calling you? Probably because the previous owner of YOUR phone number, was in the business, and subscribed to the magazine. Yes, the should explain more on their voicemail message AND offer a way to be removed, but these are not the evil spammers that many of you are suggesting.

Just got a call from this number and no message was left. How annoying!

Called saying they were from Pro Sounds Magazine and did I want to continue my free subscription.  i told them I did, but had not time to talk to them right now.  Caller said this would only take a minute.  I hung up, then looked up the number.

I received the same kind of call, but from a man with a foreign accent who said he was calling for RADIO MAGAZINE.  i ASKED IS HE WAS THE SAME PERSON WHO CALLED, YESTERDAY AND HE SAID NO.  HE HAD SOME KIND OF FOREIGN ACCENT AND A DEEP VOICE, SIMILAR TO PREVIOUS CALLERS.  hE ALSO ASKED SPECIFICALLY TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND.  i TOLD THE MAN THAT MY HUSBAND WAS AFFILIATED WITHT HE RDAIO AND TELEVION INDUSDRY, BUT THAT THE CALLER HAD CALLED THE HOME NUMBER. TtHE CALLER THEN SAID THAT HE WOULD TAKE THE NAME OFF THE LIST.  DUH?  iF THE CALLER ACTUALLY REPRESENTENTED THE INDUSTRY, WOULDN'T THE CALLER WANT TO KNOW WHERE MY HUSBAND WORKED TO SEND THE MAGAZINE TO HIS OFFICE ADDRESS?  USUALLY, ALL INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS ARRIVE free OR GRATIS TO MY HSUBAND'S OFFICE ANYWAY.  AT ANY RATE, I HUNG UP AFTER THAT AND PERFORMED A STAR-69 CALLER ID AND A STAR-57 CALL TRACE.  I THEN REPORTED THE CALLER AND THE NUMBER TO FTC.GOV.  REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE CALLER CALLED FROM MY HUSBAND'S INDUSTRY, OUR PHONE TELEHONE NUMBER IS LISTED ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  NO ONE SHOULD BE CALLING ME AT HOME ASKING TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND, ANYWAY.
