I got a call from this number saying that IRS is filing a federal crime investigation against me. My father-in-law fell into their trap and lost thousands of dollars. Is there anyway we can catch them?

Yep, they called me. Based in Arlington Va. Call them back. Yes the idiots answer the phone. You can really have fun playing there own game!

Received call today. 703-879-8893 Claimed taxes owed of $2559.49 & IRS filing a $100,000 lawsuit for Willful Misrepresentation and 2 other counts. Threatened to seize house, car, 401K, all accounts, drivers license & passport, and would spend 5 years in jail. Said would serve papers in an hour. SCAMMER. Reported to TIGTA.gov & phishing@IRS.gov.
