Recieved a voicemail stating that the IRS had contacted them regarding tax fraud on my part.  When started to ask questions she hung up on me.  Then called back and was once again hung up on.  Both voices were not english speaking and very hard to understand.

Just got the same call Ellen Puleo and had the same experience.  Now I call back and either no answer or busy...

I have also had this lady who i cant understand call and even left a voice mail on my phone it is a total scam beware and do not give them any info or send them any money!

Same here. I just got a voice mail from a asian woman with poor english. I did not call back knowing the IRS would not make calls to alert criminals that they are being tracked down. Here is the message left.

I am calling you from legal affairs at tax crime investigation unit of Internal Revenue Service. We were trying to reach you in regard to a very important issue in past month and month. We have received an affidavit concerning a tax evasion on your name.  The number to reach us out is 703-879-7094, I repeat; it is 703-879-7094. Don’t disregard this message and do return the call. If for any reason, you are busy to call us back, we suggest to you do have your retained attorney to do it for you as delay in calling us back might end up in a legal mess for you. Further, we will be forced to contact the local sheriff office and register this case against your name so to be justifying this matter as quick as possible. Thank you
