I got a text from 703-747-9398 telling me to call the IRS or an arrest warrant would be issued & my bank acct frozen. I called 202-684-6838. A female  answered. (Nora/employee ID #1RM231276/speaking Indian-accented english.) She claimed to be an agent at the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS. She advised the call was being recorded, so I shouldn't say anything incriminating. She then stated my 2008-2015 returns were audited by the IRS & found to be miscalculated. She said I owe $2,997 in additional taxes. As soon as I started to ask questions, she hung up.

Received a text from this number claiming that I owed money and I could be jailed and my funds confiscated. I told them I was reporting the number to the FBI. Most likely it is a prepaid phone so the scammet can't be found but please make older generation folks aware of these types of scams so they don't send money abroad. Once they wire the money there's no way to get it back.
