Rep said they were from depth of criminal justice. Said it was a call in reference to IRS fraud.  Lady was very rude. When I told the lady I would not give my information she hung up.

They called not once but twice . Claiming to be a federal agent. Threatening me with criminal charges. Screaming at me. Hung up when I told them I would contact the authorities. Husband called back recorded call. Again a agent " Jack Watson badge number MH2563" answers. Becomes irate that my husband would not give his name only repeat my number. My husband then explained he is navy and would be reporting this to NCIS. " Jack" hung up in a hurry after also being told this call was being recorded and that it is a felony to impersonate a federal agent. Did my research this number was pinged from another number in another country ( also known as a randomized scramble to protect the origin of the original dialer). If you are threatened let this be your red flag. If they know your name and number but not social this is a red flag. Give NO information . If this was a legitimate federal agent they would have all this information and wouldn't call but send a letter.

i just received a call from this number claiming to be a federal agent saying there was fraud on my tax return!   Yea, right!   The answering machine picked it up and needless to say I'm not answering it!

Same message as the above person. Sounds like a scam. I blocked it.

The called me twice its fake asf
