You got just a few things wrong there "Ariel". Number one - the call does not say it is someone "taking a poll for the Republican party" it says it has some questions about the Republican candidates running for president. Number two - it doesn't tell you that UNLESS you press #1 to confirm who you are - so you did press 1 or you wouldn't have heard it. Number three - it was paid for by the Democrats, not the Republicans and number four - it doesn't cost them anything for a long distance call, since anyone who has a landline phone and who has maintained their service knows that all current phone line plans include unlimited long distance. Only old plans still have long distance charges, and the newer plans that were changed around 4-5 years ago to combat everyone dropping their home phone service for cell service which also has unlimited long distance at no additional charges actually cost less than the old plans that did not include long distance. Even Centurylink home plans include unlimited long distance for almost half the cost of their old plans that did not include it. So, I guess that means that you will never be voting Democrat again - since at least according to your view on receiving political survey calls - they are the ones that are "intrusive and annoying". So glad that I could clear that up for you. I had to laugh at the second question about how conservative are you, press #1 for "moderate or not conservative at all". Only in the mind of a liberal could they come up with that twisted idea of a conservative voter.
