I just got the call. Like everyone Simmon said to call a lawyer there would be a sheriff at my door within 24 hours. Then he hung up on me when I told him to go for it. Im not sure what they want, I could hear voice in the background. Something was said about 2000. owned. I guess if I had it they would have tried to get it out of me. Not sure what's going on but they need to be reported.  Thanks everyone for posting, after he hung up on me I checked the number out and saw everyone's post.

See 703-662-8286.  Same experience.  Caller said they were the IRS (I guess, slurred words).  They had sent certified letters that had been returned (no letter here...).  Said to call their audit department (I think) to avoid a law suit.  Called several times to my wife's cell phone from this and the other number.  Totally ignored!

I received two calls in the last hour from (703) 662-8287 claiming they were with the IRS and I needed to call back immediately or risk legal action.
