No they don't.  These scammers are located in Indian and Pakistan and their governmenst so far do not cooperate in shutting down the call-centers.   Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.

Left message - requesting a call back at a police department..."situation needing me"...seemed fake. Top of message did not make voice mail.  I blocked the caller.

The voice mail message said it was Officer Jason Miller. No department or organization, strong accent, but trying to sound southern. Amusing actually. Said me or my atty needed to contact right away. Yeah... ok... I'll get right on that...

Total scam caller. Reported to the appropriate authorities.

had call from a Jason Miller stated if I didn't return call or attorney did not call, they wished me good luck and the situation falls badly on me. this was the voice mail that was left on my ohone
