Heavy Indian accent, call center noise in the background.  Threatened me with arrest. Would not give IRS badge number .Said no certified letter to me is required in this case. I told him to read the IRS protocols. I then told him my tax attorney says you are full of crap.   Very much an [***].

Same call to me today. States I have fraud and will be arrested. He got very threatend when I told him what he is doing is against the law and that I was recording his call. Told me the cops would be at my door to arrest me. They said they were from the IRS. How is this allowed?

Same call to me today. Really heavy accent.  Said he was Claude from the Tax Audit Department at Internal Revenue Service.  I said "Oh My Gosh!  That's sounds really important" and then I hung up.  Thanks for this page to check caller ID numbers and share.

Just received this call. When I finally got to answer(answering machine was on) all I heard was IRS in heavy accent and hung up. I had been reading about these scams. My concern is for people who are easily scammed & tricked. Thanks for a place to double check numbers
