I also, have been bombarded with phonecalls from a Mr. David trying desperately to convince me that I have won the same lottery as above writers have mentioned. He wants me to go to Western Union and get a 500.00 money order made out to Garen Downie or Ruby Bennett, to cover the taxes. He explains that it is the receipt numbers that they need at the border to bring the money across and deliver it to my house. On arrival. I am to receive the 500.00 dollars back with the lottery winning cheque of 2.5 million. He actually forgot to tell me about also winning the car until about the 30th phone call.
He says to keep it secret and that there is no information known at Publishers Clearing house about this win because the Consortium took over the numbers, or some ridiculous thing like that.
I am pretty careful about fraudulent things like this, but I must admit he is pretty convincing and I guess we all hope that just MAYBE this could be true. Don't get fooled by it.
This is actually the third such letter that I have received in the last 3 weeks.....imagine the same person winning 3 different mega million lotteries in 3 weeks. The other companies were called "The International Lottery, which I traced back to an apartment building in London, Ont., and the other was a letter originated from Portugal.
