Claimed to be a homeowner looking for a tenant in VA while he and his family relocated to Alabama.

Did he say anything else or anything to make you believe it was a scam?

you return your money ?? I am in contact with that person and I'm realizing it's a scam ?? What can I do???

Same here he claims to be homeowner in ca but has nobody to show us the house claims  he has friend that can show us but that he Germany it's a scam

This person lists multiple properties that are not his for rent. I confirmed with a local agency that his listing in my area was fraudulent (when I called the agency, they had confirmed a rental agreement with a tenant for twice as much as he listed). He consistently claims that he cannot show the house because he is away for work, and his only trustworthy friend is in Germany, and only communicates through email and text message.
