A guy by the name of "Sam" claimed he just bought this house and needed it cleaned. I asked for the address and when I can go see it. He gave me an address and said he was out of town having lung surgery. I looked up the address on Zillow to find out that it's up for auction and called my realtor friend to find out if it was still available or if a person by the name of Sam owns it. He was a scammer! No one by the name of Sam has had any dealings with that home. The more I asked him questions, the more I became confident that he was a scammer. This site just confirmed it! Thanks

He called himself Sam saying that he needed my cleaning service to come and that he would pre pay because he is out of state and in the hospital.  I got the same request a month ago from a different number and I didn't like the sound of it and then this sounded the same scenario and I said I could not help.

Wow that is the same guy and story. I am in AZ I don't know if he is just doing this to any location.  He said he could mail me a check.  Who can we inform...?

got a text message from this number with the house cleaning scam. obviously aware it was a scam and wanting to scare him, I tried calling the number from my work phone that would show up on his caller id as a law enforcement agency in new jersey. I got a recorded message stating the number I called can't be reached. fight back against scammers!

I was contacted by the same guy. What is the scam? How is he benefiting from pre paying with a credit card?
