Came up on my caller ID as "fraud division"  I picked up.  A woman said that someone has lodged a fraud complaint against me and they need my statement.  The woman told me to call the number back.  She didn't say who she is, what her company is, or anything.  I listened, I didn't speak, and then I hung up.

Got a voice mail from a male for my son who said someone filed a fraud complaint against him and he needed his my statement. No request to call back or any further information. The first time this number called about 2 weeks ago there was no message at all and the caller ID said Georgia Comptroller. Neither one of us will be calling back.

The message on my machine  said for me to call asap, (garbled name) at  678-971-2266  because a complaint had been filed in her office.

I also received a voice mail from this number with the same message yesterday. Definitely fishy. I blocked her number on my phone.

I live in Ohio and received a call from a Ms. Burke or Ms. Birch, in reference to a complaint that was filed with her office and needed a statement from me.  She is calling me from Georgia.  Is this legitimate?
