The phone number i got was different.   It's 678-250-9914 and her name is Angie.
When I called the Ask Staffing agency at home office the lady who answered IMMEDIATLEY said she knew "Angie" and asked me, "did she have an Indian accent" and I said, "Yes!" She said, "yes, she works for us out of India" but seemed surprised she would ask me for my full social. How would she know who I was talking about so quickly if they have so many offices throughout the country, Supposedly?  I get they need social to run criminal background checks and evidence to work here, but I think since they're no don't have a local office here in San Diego, they ought to completely understand my resistance and insistence on giving them the social after the job offer has been officially made and I've physically been to an interview.  Maybe they're afraid I'm a cop under/cover!   Wouldn't that be a sweet surprise!

This number called and left a voicemail.  It was some Indian woman who could barely speak a word of English, claiming it was about a job.  What I was able to get out of the mumbled Indian message was it's AskStaffing, a recruiting agency.  I got an email immediately after the call, which claimed it was for a secretarial job in Bridgeville, PA but wouldn't give the company name.  I looked up the so-called job opening on AskStaffing's website, and no such job exists.  I smell a scam, especially since the week before I was harassed by another Indian who called 6 times in an hour (different fake long-distance numbers on my caller ID).  I checked my email, and I got one from him, full of illiterate English and odd wording.  Again, no such job existed on this agency's website.  I think it's Indian scam artists going on a phishing expedition trying to steal money and personal information from unemployed Americans.

I just received the same type of call.  The woman also couldn't speak much English.  I received an email afterwards for a temporary job close to where I live.  I replied via email and she sent a response back quicker than a normal employment agency would have.  (almost immediately)  I also think there is something fishy..

I had an email from a Mary S and she says that timing is very crucial on this position. I tried calling the number and like you there is an indian woman on the phone but her name is "Debbie". She wants me to take a typing test again - which is fine - but I'm curious about why an Atlanta company is job hunting for a company in Omaha??? There are plenty of temp agencies here in the Omaha area.

You are right about the response time and the message and messenger regarding a job opportunity.  I love this site, when I get crazy phone calls I enter the number into search and instantly find out that there are so many scams going on.  One of the postings suggested saving the contact under the name of "Scam" and in one week I have 10 new Scam contacts.

Same thing some female from India telling me about some urgent job opening that I needed to look into. She said she would send me an email - none received at any of my emails, and if I did not get the email. I was to call her back.....She wanted me to send her a copy of my resume - right.....
yeah, sure, anyway go pound sand someplace else lady. This person in Nebraska is not emailing or calling you about any non-existing job since I have a job!!!
