It is a person saying that your computer was hacked that turn your computer on so they can fix it. Even though I do have a laptop I asked how did I get hacked if I don't have one and then he hung up on me lol it's a scam

Got a call from this number - man with foreign accent - telling me that th Government wants to give me $9,000 and no paying back - I was very short with him and he then hung up on me.  Received previous calls from man sounding the same - foreign accent, etc.,  to inform me about a problem with my computer and actually mentioning Microsoft and I quickly ended the call...

The same thing happened to me and it was early in the morning--before 8 AM.  He has a foreign accent and told me he was calling because "their" (never saying who "their" is) systems show my Microsoft computer is downloading a malicious virus.  He started to say what I needed to do, but I told him I'd have to call him back. Returning the call using the caller ID number, I received the message, "You have reached a number no longer in service."

Called this morning stating that Microsoft software with indicating problems. I informed him that my Norton was working just fine. I'm sorry to say this but I don't believe anyone with a thick accent calling themselves "John" but sounding more like a "Habeeb". Hung up on him.

Same kind of call, same foreign accent.  Claiming my computer was reporting errors.  I told him that it was about time that piece of junk started reporting errors because it has been unplugged for months!  He hung up!
