Received yet another call from 678-111-4254 could barely understand their broken English. Asked to speak with someone who spoke better English and suddenly his got a bit better. He was trying to tell me he was with an internet security service and my home computer was reporting errors, and asked if I had downloaded anything new lately. Told me I needed to go to my computer and follow his instructions so he could fix the problem. I figured why not mess with the scammer, I told him I was not where I could go to my home computer (after all I am at work). He seemed upset that I would not go to my computer and stated his network security company was alerted, that a file I downloaded had gained access to the internet and compromised the security of my computer and all my personal information. I told him thank you for bringing this to my attention and I will take my computer to our local police right away so they can find the individuals that compromised my computer security and hopefully arrest them, wouldn’t you know it that’s when he hung up.
