I just got a text at 3:00am in California. This number texted me saying it was my best friend Katie (who is my best friend), saying that she was using a prepaid phone because her iphone broke. "She" said that she just walked into her dad masturbating. This person got into full detail about the situation which became disturbingly sexual. I picked up the hints that this was not my best friend. I called my real best friend and found out it was a scam. I texted the "fake text" to leave me alone, and called them however it rang for ~50 seconds so I hung up. I'm not sure if it's some weird stalker, or a phone scam since I've been trying to look up the situation I just experienced because the person never asked me for cash or any personal information. I'm very concern that if it was a scam, what did they want and what exactly did they get? Because they certainly did not ask me for any info/cash/etc.
