Did not leave a message - blocked. Caller ID said local call area - not my local call area

Asked was wife(name) home, I did not reply with " yes or no",only "hello?, hello?" With no reply from caller and then phone disconnects

Call ID notes "local area" but this area code is not anywhere near me & I do not know anyone w/ this number. Caller did not leave a message
