I doubt that an attorney could find them to press charges, and if they could it would cost you. What WILL work is if enough of us cost the illegal callers enough time and money to encourage them to find another line of work. When the 'extended warranty' folks call, I give them all of the details about me and the 2 6-8 year old cars I have - all totally fictitious, of course. Hint: they want them to be under 150K miles. I try to keep them on as long as possible, expressing interest and asking questions. When I get tired (sometimes 15- 20 minutes), I'll ask them if they are associated with the NDNCR. When they say no, I'll tel them all about the National Do-Not-Call Registry...
