Ok, I called Square and asked if there was a way that someone could get business info. The rep said if your business is listed in the Square Marketplace then your business information would be there. You would have had to set it up at some point personally. The Rep was very concerned by this and asked a bunch of questions and said he was escalating this to the compliance, engineering, legal and some other department. Although this isn't them, it could very easily give them a bad name. Over all I was satisfied with talking to them and was shocked to see that they now have a call center for customer support. Apparently it is new in the last 3 months.
So if you dont want to be listed publicly in the Square Marketplace,
login at Squareup.com...
click Business on the top menu...
then public profile if it doesnt automatically take you there.....
Slide the toggle off (grey, not blue) where it says.. Publish your page on Square Market Place...
Then uncheck the box a little lower that says "Show this location on Square Market(required for pickup)"
So whoever is calling us is getting our numbers from the Square Marketplace.
Was glad that Square seemed extremely concerned that their place is being used like this.
