eceived a call from AutozUpdate. Real human, a lady. She said that my extended warranty had expired on my vehicle had expired and she wanted me to renew. I asked her which vehicle? She asked, you have more than 1. I said I had 3 (me,wife, daughter). She asked me for the VIN. I said that if she was renewing them, she should already have that data. She stammered and said I had to provide that information as a security item. Then I said tell me the model please as they were different models. She said that she would have have me talk to her supervisor. There was a fumble of stuff and some dude came on, also American sounding. I said it seems to me for a company that wants me to buy their product and claiming that they can't tell me the VIN, the model number or the year of the vehicle, it sounded like a serious scam in order to steal either my money or my cars. They said they decided that I wasn't the type of customer. and hung up. Geez I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.
