And even if they did, that's not a reason to violate the DNC registry.  Claiming one of your neighbors suggested you might be interested doesn't give these lowlifes a legal okay to bypass DNC.  But, then again, I feel the DNC is one of the most worthless pieces of legislation to come along in quite a while.  Legitimate companies gave up on telemarketing years ago due to the bad rap those types of calls get, and because nobody answers the endless stream of BS calls trying to sell something you neither have requested nor need!!  Thanks again Congress....Great Job!!!

Called my mobile & left no message. Now blocked.

Another new  scam caller.  It never ends.  Even with a phone that blocks 250 numbers, these  people keep spoofing new numbers. Eventually you run out of blocks even if you block  whole area codes. You cannot block your own  area code and probably do not want to block adjacent area codes. Because I do not want to waste a block on a one time caller I wait to see if the number is a repeat and then block.  This requires keeping a list. Sigh....difficult living in the adult world today.

Buy a call blocking device.  Mine has the ability to block 9,999 numbers, provided I don't want to "white-list" any numbers.  But, it's still gonna take a while to get to 9,999.  I've had this blocker for 2 years now and have 671 numbers black-listd, which means they'll never bother me again from that number.  And if they come up with more...as they always do...they'll all be black-listed as well.  Best $40 I ever spent.  Go on Amazon and do a search for call blockers.  They have many, most of which are priced under $100, but the peace and quiet is well worth the cost of the call blocker.  It's a shame we have to spend any money to block these idiots, but if you're waiting for the telecom conglomerates or our wonderful legislators in Washington to stop this nonsense, well...you got a long wait, as in never??
