Card Services calling to lower my credit card debt interest rate.  Auto message directs me to press "1 " if Interested. I  press the number "1" and get a live person saying "HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE? HELLO, HELLO" and I wait until I hear a hang up signal & I hang up my receiver also.  If everybody that is called does the same, their operators can waste all their time talking to nobody.

This was the call today - everyday it's a different number I don't know. I never answer.

Same here. The DNC laws aren't worth a tinker's damn. At least I can block the number.

Problem solved.

They robocalled me, I let them connect me their person and I asked to be put on their do not call list.  She asked if I knew why they called, I said yes and that it didn't matter, I wanted to be on the DNC list. She said they'd try back again when I was in a "better mood".  BS, fact chance of that.

This may be a case of call spoofing where people use another valid phone number to show up on your caller ID.  DO NOT give them any of your financial or credit card information.  This could be an attempt to defraud you through credit card or other financial access.  

Today after questioning the caller in detail... she refused to provide where they were located other than Tempe Az, refused to give me there corporate name and state they are incorporated in, and refused to txfr me to a manager.  I then told her I had reported them to several federal agencies, ATT Fraud Services for mis-use of a phone number that did not belong to them, and contacted local newspapers of the locations where phone numbers they are spoofing are located.  She told me I had too much time on my hands and hung up!
