Received threatening call from this number.  It was a recorded message stating this was my last chance to resolve an issue.  After today, it would be referred to courts and I would have no other recourse.  They did not identify themselves.  They have never called before, I have no outstanding debts and an excellent credit rating.  When I called, the man who answered didn't identify who they were but stated that it was in reference to a civil action and asked me if a certain name was familiar to me.  At first I said no and he hung up.  I called back and he hung up.  I called back and said that the name was familiar and he said he would send me a data pack and hung up again.  I called back trying to get more information but was not successful.  I suspect this was an unscrupulous debt collector trying to get in touch with a former sister-in-law who I have not seen in over a decade.  Very manipulative situation.

until close of business today to contact their firm at 874 513-3991.  If no contact, they will move forward as necessary and no further
alternative will be available regarding this matter.  Caller id said santa ana, ca

Just said I needed to call them immediately.  Gave a number, repeated the number and hung up.  I did not call them back.  If it were really important, I would expect a real person to call and  talk  to me. I am sure it is just a scammer or someone who is trying to connect with someone with my same last name.

I have had this happen before. They always say they are going to serve papers to appear in court unless you settle with them now. I always say no and they never do anything about it. It is a scam to try and get you to pay on a debt you may or may not ever owe on....
