So this number called a couple times recently with an automated message that they were with the IRS and not to ignore them. I know it's a scam but I decided to mess with them. Called back and asked the guy (with a heavy accent) if he was with the IRS. When he said yes, I told him that it's funny because I actually work for the IRS so I was wondering why he called me. He got flustered and confused and said, "sorry, must have been a mistake" and hung up. I then proceeded to call him back multiple times and each time he answered, then immediately hung up! Finally, after about 10 times of me calling, he answered, "what's your problem man? You need to stop calling me." Haha, I love turning the tables on these clowns. Everyone should call this number at least once or twice a day just to mess with the guy...

I just received a threatening phone call from phone # 657-202-0191 (from somewhere in CA).  The automated robot that played when I picked up said they were with the IRS, and to call them back (to not discard the voicemail, and that a case was being brought against me).  I called back, and the original person that picked up sounded foreign....but sounded like he might be legit.....he told me that I would be served papers by an officer TODAY 5/19/16 at 1:30.  That they would go to my personal residence, and then my place of work if I wasn't at my house.  They asked if I had a lawyer, asked for his name, and that I would have to go to court.  I called back later, and I told them I had more questions.  The guy said : "is this _ _ _ _ (said MY name), and then said GO F _ _ _ YOURSELF, I then asked him to repeat himself, and he said the same.....then hung up.  I have done a few prank calls back when I was young, and my friends have gotten me a time or two.....but these guys definitely weren't/aren't any of my friends.  They both had hard to understand accents, and aren't at all IRS agents.....just some kind of organized prankers....trying to strike fear in people.....don't know what their motives were....just don't be fooled/scared.

I received five calls from 657-202-.0191 stating they were from the irs, to call them back, not to discard the message, as a case was being brought against me.  I decided to call from another phone and a man with an east indian accent answered it was the irs. I asked him to repeat it telling him i received a call on my cell phone from them. He asked me to hold, came back after 30 seconds and asked me my name which i didn't give him. I told him the irs never calls, they send a letter if they are investigating anyone. He replied the call was a mistake and hung up.  Another scammer!!!  Don't ever give out any information to anyone who says they're with the irs unless you've received a written notice from them.
