Just received a call and then a voicemail from this number.  The voicemail said the message was for a person that is the friend of a friend of mine.  I have no clue how they got my number.  The voicemail language was exactly as Jessica described it above.

Got a call from this number and they left a voice mail.  They were asking for my niece and said if I was not her to hang up.  Said her name was Susan and basically rambled on about the same crap described in here already.  These people obviously have nothing better to do than to mess with people in scaring them for profit!  Too much of this is happening to too many unassuming people!  If its not these creeps then its the IRS masqueraders!  Disgusting pigs!!

called my daughter's phone about my dad who just died. no clue how they got her number she was never on anything for my dad. threaten criminal action but never said what the bill was supposedly for. Cruel tactics since her grandfather died two weeks ago and owed no bills

Same exact VM message as Jessica typed out...except the name given was my SIL.  Initially I was just pissed that she'd given out our number, as she is the type of person to receive multiple debt collector calls, but I'm glad I looked this all up before calling her on it.  Ugh I have over 100#s blocked on my cell and house due to these scumbags!!

I'm very sorry for your loss and that these scumbags did this to your daughter during such a sad time.
